A UFO Appeared Above Jesus in Mexico - and Other UFO Sightings
Recent months have seen a notable increase in UFOs sightings across Mexico and other locations, with witnesses reporting unusual aerial phenomena that have sparked widespread interest.
Religious Site in Mexico Becomes UFO Hotspot
Christians attending mass at the Cerro del Cubilete in Silao, Mexico, were startled when what appeared to be a “Saturn-shaped object” materialized in the clear blue sky near the 65-foot-tall Christ the King statue (Rey Cristo). The religious landmark, located northwest of Mexico City on a mountain more than 8,460 feet above sea level, has long been a destination for pilgrims but rarely for UFO enthusiasts.
“It’s an alien navigator,” claimed one local visitor as the crowd observed the unusual object hovering near the left hand of the Jesus statue. According to witnesses, spectators feared they might “be abducted” as the object maintained its position overhead.
The Cerro del Cubilete site includes a spherical building in art deco style housing a circular altar at the base of the statue, which depicts Jesus standing with outstretched arms flanked by angels holding a crown of thorns and a royal crown. While tens of thousands visit the religious site annually, this appears to be one of the first documented UFO sightings at this location.
Interestingly, a similar “Saturn-like” object was spotted over the western Mexican city of Zitácuaro on September 8, 2024, suggesting a pattern of sightings in the region.
US Air Force Pilot Reports Close Encounter
In a separate incident from September 17, 2024, a US Air Force pilot flying a Beechcraft 350 in California reported a close encounter with an unidentified object. According to leaked audio recordings obtained by NewsNation’s Banfield, the pilot (identified as “Troy 21”) contacted Los Angeles Air Traffic Control around 2:30 p.m. to report something unusual.
“This is going to sound weird. But I just had something pass underneath my wing. Maybe a football-sized object right under my wing,” the pilot stated in the recording. The object was described as dark and cylindrical, passing approximately 10 feet below the aircraft’s right wing.
The aircraft, reportedly equipped with advanced radar systems for tracking drug traffickers, detected an object about 60 miles away just forty seconds after the visual sighting. If this was the same object, it would have needed to reach speeds exceeding Mach 2 within two minutes — capabilities beyond most conventional drones.
The plane was allegedly involved in a Department of Homeland Security drug interdiction mission and flying at an altitude of 20,000 feet at the time of the encounter. The air traffic controller later reported the incident to the National UFO Reporting Center, stating, “There was some UFO reported here, but that’s all taken care of now, so you don’t have to worry about it.”
Turkish Airport Operations Temporarily Suspended
Similar incidents have occurred internationally. At Gaziantep Airport in Turkey, all flights were temporarily grounded for one hour after pilots reported seeing an unidentified object at approximately 10,000 feet. Despite the visual confirmation from multiple witnesses, the object did not appear on the airport’s radar systems.
Airport authorities later suggested the object was likely an unauthorized drone, though this explanation has not satisfied all observers.
The Investigation is being Done
In response to growing public interest in these phenomena, official investigations have been launched. The Pentagon has begun investigating claims made by US government contractor Jake Barber, who alleges involvement in classified missions to recover alien technology.
Additionally, the Declassification of Federal Secrets Task Force has scheduled its first hearing for March 26. This development signals increasing governmental attention to the topic of unidentified aerial phenomena.
These recent sightings and the response from officials demonstrate the continuing fascination with and uncertainty surrounding unexplained aerial encounters, as well as the growing willingness of authorities to investigate such reports more thoroughly.
